NOW Metro - Metropolitan Wireless Networks
NOW Wireless has been involved with deploying city-wide wireless networks for over five years. Our carrier class metropolitan wireless networks have been implemented in several cities across the UK to provide secure robust communications for the operation of council service applications such as traffic lights, CCTV, VMS signs, RTI and many others.
Using our Mesh4G™ technology we are able to provide military-grade wireless communications that sees councils reducing their fixed line and civil engineering costs. The technology uses 2.4GHz at street level to transmit data to and from the applications and 5GHz at building level to backhaul the data enabling councils to control and manage their applications centrally. These Mesh4G networks are secure, self-healing, self-forming and expandable .
